Balaton Gate Entertainment Resort (“Resort”) is located adjacent to and within walking distance of the Balaton Park Circuit, the first new Grade 1 Formula 1 / MotoGP-compliant purpose-built motorsport track in Europe in 15 years. The track, completed and opened in May 2023, was planned and constructed according to the highest safety standards and regulations.
The Resort project is located in the heart of the Lake Balaton entertainment region of Hungary, approximately one hour from Budapest. The Resort is being developed on a 91-acre tract of land, which is zoned and permitted to accommodate 3.4 million square feet of commercial space. The commercial properties will include seven hotels, a conference center, entertainment center (consisting of bowling, cinema, go-carts, fitness, aquarium, planetarium, restaurants, bars, ice skating and a children’s playground), spas, golf course with club, water park, a 324,000 sq. ft. shopping mall.
The Resort will provide services for all sectors of the racing circuits, international and regional spectators, and tourists for year-round existing and upcoming area festivals, sporting events and entertainment.
